Welcome Fall 2021 cohort! The Graduate Student Society is the 2nd largest student organization on campus with around 4300 members from nearly 70 different countries. We can't wait to welcome you to the UWindsor campus and are looking forward to connecting with you. Here are some orientation resources we have in place to assist with your transition to the University of Windsor.

Academic Initiative Program

GSS Clubs Program

The GSS has launched graduate student-specific clubs open for all UWindsor graduate students. This new initiative encourages graduate students from various faculties to come together out of academic or educational curiosity, shared interests, or just a willingness to get involved on the UWin campus.

Student Awards Program

Supplemental Benefits Plan

The GSS Supplemental Benefits Plan (also known as the GSS Drug and Dental Plan) is a supplemental plan that ensures coverage for costs outside of Ontario Health Insurance Program (OHIP).

U-PASS Public Transit Bus Access

GSS U-Pass is a service that allows student members to have unlimited rides on the regular Transit Windsor city service during the school year.

The UWSA, OPUS and GSS regularly negotiate this universal student bus pass (U-Pass) with Transit Windsor for UWSA, OPUS and GSS students.

ISIC Cards

GSS offers students the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) card, the only internationally-recognised student ID, making  cardholders members of a truly global club. Every year more than 4.5 million students from 130 countries use their ISIC to take advantage of offers on travel, museums, hostels, hotels, historical sites and entertainment attractions.

Student Advocacy

GSS offers members the service of Student Advocacy, which means providing direct and meaningful assistance to students for academic and non-academic University-related problems.

On-Campus Supports

The University of Windsor provides both supports for its students to ensure their academic success, mental well-being, and fruitful student experience. Visit (NAME OF TAB) to see the resources the university has in place to support you.
