In my year as the president I have developed and fostered numerous relationships with all of these groups by following a simple guideline “act different to be treated different.” My approach to every group is 100% evidence based and does not come without solutions, I will never force a problem onto someone without having an idea or a dialogue about how to fix it.

  4. What lessons/skills have you acquired from overcoming an obstacle in your educational career and how can you apply those learnings to this position

The GSS is the single most important group to a graduate student, if you pay our fees you are a member. You deserve for your voice to represented and for your experience to be amplified by us and that’s what the GSS represents. We are an amplification of all of our members and we ahve the ability to impact every student and that is critical to the overall experience someone has here in grad school.
