U-PASS PROGRAM - WINDSOR TRANSIT BUS PASS FOR STUDENTS

OVERVIEW

GSS U-Pass is a service that allows student members to have unlimited rides on the regular Transit Windsor city service during the school year.

The U-Pass is negotiated with Transit Windsor by all three campus student unions — GSS, OPUS and UWSA.

How does it work?

  • All students are automatically enrolled for the Fall and Winter semesters unless they opt out (subject to opt-out conditions).
  • Students who have not opted out must activate the Umo mobile app before they can benefit from the U-Pass.
  • Using the app is simple: students scan their QR code on the reader when boarding the bus.
  • There is no physical card pick-up — the U-Pass is fully digital.
  • The U-Pass is non-transferable. It may only be used by the student it is issued to.
  • Your Umo account can only be used on one (1) device. If you have more than one personal device, the app can only be used on one of them — even if all the devices are your own. If the account is used on more than one device, the account will be locked and a re-issue fee will be charged at a cost of 158.24$.
