About Us
MMB Students’ Association, a student group ratified with Graduate Student Society, is an operational club of students pursuing Master of Medical Biotechnology program at University of Windsor. As a part of this organization, the executives organize events, raise funds and network with Alumni to establish MMB program in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector. We actively get involved with the student issues and coordinate with Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry to rectify them to enhance the on-campus student experience. Since March 2019, we have developed the ways through which you can be a part of the association, community and society for the opportunity to participate in events, network with diverse people and develop your communication, leadership and organizational skills.
Mission
To unify the students of Master of Medical Biotechnology and provide academic, career, networking, volunteering and participation opportunities to them with the support from Graduate Student Society of University of Windsor.
Open House
Students from the MMB cohort can attend the open house every month in the conference room and discuss their thoughts or ideas with each other and the executives. The dates and timings for the open house will be advertised a week before the scheduled date through our social media handles.
Monthly Fun Events
Ranging from Movie Nights to Board Games, monthly fun activities are being organized by the Events Team to tackle the stress experienced by students. All the fun events provide an opportunity for you to participate in the Pot Luck Supper and have your meals together.
Study Room Meetings
Weekly study groups are led by scholastically experienced classmates to assist other students during the group study. A room is allocated to the batches on a fixed time slot for each semester, so that you can schedule your study plan accordingly.
One-on-One Tutoring Sessions
Despite having common study groups, some students experience the need of a personal tutor to get more clarifications on certain topics. Academic Affairs Team can arrange for a personal tutor from the senior batch as per their availability, who can guide you with the right way to approach the concepts.
Alumni Workshops
To support and guide the current students with the real-world career advice, MMB Students’ Association is in direct link with some of the recent graduates. As a major part of MMB cohort is comprised of International Students, workshops related to post-graduate work permit, workplace experiences and other imperative themes are also arranged exclusively from the International Students perspective.
