  1. Please outline your relevant experience for this position:
I was the non-technical coordinator of my undergraduate institute and although the post is named differently, my duties were pretty much the same as that of the Vice President – University Affairs. As the name suggests, I was in charge of all the non-technical activities of my institute; operating in accordance with the Vision, Mission, Guiding Principles, Laws, and Policies of the institute while representing the best interests of the students, and I intend to do so again for the GSS under the guidance of the President.
  2. How do you plan on facilitating positive work relationships within the GSS board and membership?
I was born in Kenya, grew up in India, completed a part of my undergraduate studies in the USA, and have travelled to 10 other countries for various purposes. I speak English, Hindi, Gujarati, and bits of Swahili and Spanish. My life experience and multilingual abilities enable me to connect well with everyone in this modern multicultural society we live in, be it the students who would elect me or the board members along whom I would be working. And I respect every culture and everybody’s beliefs, and that is why I naturally tend to have positive relationships with everyone.
  3. Describe the importance of the GSS in your own words
The GSS is the voice of the graduate students. Its purpose is to provide a background where the students can communicate and exchange concepts, skills and experiences, and I believe without this channel there would be no efficient manner for students to communicate within themselves and with the higher authorities. And I intend to serve this purpose wholeheartedly for the betterment of everyone.
