The first 6 weeks of the fall semester intake, the first 6 weeks of the winter semester intake or during the first 6 weeks of the summer semester intake, this is known as the “blackout period”.
As such, any student charged for the GSS Supplemental Benefits Plan or who has opted into and paid for the GSS Supplemental Benefits Plan, in the current semester, will not be activated until the opting period and drop deadlines have passed, the GSS has been provided the master list from the Registrar’s office and the students have been fully processed with Green Shield Canada.
Once you are activated for the Green Shield benefits plan through the GSS, you will receive an email with instructions. Then, follow these steps:
